I still remember the first time I saw you
In the library lift up to the twenty-fourth floor
From where I stood you looked like an angel
So I didn't move until you walked out the door

The metro
The bus stops
The market
The disco

Blank CD's
In strip malls
In restaurants
In juice bars

In hallways
In parties
The salon
The airport

In the rain
In the streets
In sunshine
In short sleeves

In makeup
At night clubs
On the dance floor
All around

In the evening
At sunrise
At lunchtime
At midnight

Through windows
Of taxis
Classrooms
Highrises

I fell in love the first time I saw you
Even though we never met
And I still see you at the clubs and in cafes
And every night you're in my dreams

It's true, you might be a stranger
But you're not that strange to me
To you, I know I'm a stranger
But please don't run away from me
Away from me

I can always rely on you to be there
Looking up behind the cash register
If we met, if we rang all our good times
I can't disappoint you with only my eyes

It's true, you might be a stranger
But you're not that strange to me
To you, I know I'm a stranger
And that's the way I want it to be

The metro
The bus stop
The market
The disco

On CD's
In strip malls
In restaurants
In juice bars

At night clubs
At parties
A salon
An airport

Through windows
Of taxis
Apartments
Highrises

Agreed... I love it. Special meaning cause I like this guy who comes into the place I work all the time, but I would never say anything to him. It's probably better that I don't. This song is perfect for it. Plus I feel less creepy, knowing it can be seen as sweet... what with there being a song about it and all.

this song makes me smile because it reminds me of how I used to feel about someone. I think a lot of other people can relate to it... because I know that there's been at least one person (in our lives) that we've "loved" from afar.

I still remember the first time I saw you . . From where I stood you looked like an angel, So I didn't move until you walked out the door . .

theres not a person alive that doesnt know that feeling and remember a time when it happened or at least the feeling they got from it.

amazing song. i love the list of places this could happen.

i really like it flips and they admire each other from a distance. at first listen i didnt expect that.

    love it

whoeee..i love all figurine song, and personally "stranger" is the best one to me. Kinda remind me of movie "closer", how a stranger is mysteriously attractive..

i think, there's somekind of secure feeling if you feel in love with a stranger, the excitement is high, and you may fantasize endlessly about this stranger.. it's like having only the phisical appearance, then you could imagine and put whatsoever behaviour that you wish-or think he is. --voila, you got a perfect man --

the reason the want to stay being stranger is too keep this feeling..if you get to know better, you may realize, he/she is not the way you thought he was..and it bring dissapointment.

just my oppinion...such a sweet song, wrapped in electronic way...NICE

Wow! If there was one song that could sum up my current mentality it's defiantly this.

Kinda makes me want to do something, because you truly don't know what the other person is thinking. And who knows she might be thinking the same thing as you are, as this song amazingly puts it. - In other words take a chance.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
