The stars are underground
And the proof is flying overhead
So kick me when I'm down
And I'll be the one you're laughing about now

I don't know if it's real
Or how I'm supposed to feel now

That I'm out of your life
And into the darkness
And out of the darkness
I'm coming now
I'm out of your sight
And into the blackness, yeah
Oh

I drag myself along
Not sure of how I got in here
I know I might be wrong
'Cause you always insist on telling me now how it feels

I don't know what to tell you
'Cause I brought it on myself, oh no

But I'm out of your life
And into the darkness
And out of the darkness
I'm coming now
I'm out of your sight
And into the blackness, yeah

Tell Mairead that you saw me
And see how they follow
When the piper plays the song

(stars are underground.... stars are.... are.... underground)

General CommentI can't believe this song isn't more popular. It's loud, but it has such a gorgeous, lush sound. It's moving.

General CommentThis song is about someone with immense talent and strength and beauty who keeps it all hidden from everyone else, and in doing so, is a total bitch.
