Change the pain
of what you feel
You keep it inside
Keep it real
Too many times again
Twenty times again
You kept it inside long enough
enough to let it win

I feel no shame for what I do
Mistakes the same
The hate rings true
Never had none of heaven
Had too much of hell
I never cared for what I did
It's probably just as well

I've heard it all before
I know nothing's gonna change
I've heard it all before
I know nothing's gonna change
I've heard it again and again
I know nothing's gonna change
Change the way I feel

Change the pain of what you feel
You keep it inside, you made it real
Too many times to get it
Twenty times to get in
You kept it inside long enough
Enough to let it win

-chorus-

You swing up to me acting like everything's jake between us
It starts off easy enough, but you don't get more than one chance before I don't know you anymore
It's easy for me, I don't miss you that much
But I can tell by the hurt in your eyes that it's only gonna take a little push, to make all the hurt blossom up inside of you

I'm caught in my own trap, I'm caught in my own trap
Caught in my own trap, again

I feel no pain, I feel no shame,
You hurt yourself, when you turn on me

I've heard it all before, I know nothing's gonna change
Your mom and dad can't teach you like I can
I Go back and forth, back and forth again
And I'm wrong enough to see how right I am
And nothing can take away your pain
And nothing can take away your shame
And nothing's ever gonna change
And nothing can change the way I feel

General CommentTo me, this song is about how someone hides their feelings and just bottles them up. Since the person does not wish to discuss his problems, his pain takes over and starts making him miserable. He does not think things will ever get better. His pain builds up inside himself, and eventually when his sorrow is released the result is terrible.
