When you sing, sing like there's no one listening.
When you dance, dance like there's no one watching.
When you cry, cry like there's no one around.
When you smile, smile like the world can see you.

I will draw a perfect circle around this portrait of you & I,
Let's try our best to immortalize this moment.

I can't help but lace sorrow into pieces of paper,
I wish words were forever.

I I had one more breath I'd speak to you in perfect tones as marrow tears spill down my face,
In this perfect picture frame is the image of you & I standing in this moonlit night.
I can't fight for this,
I can still feel your touch every time that I say goodbye.
Your heart lives on in mine,
I am yours.

Will we be closer to the moon up on this mountaintop?

When you sing,
When you dance,
When you cry like there is no one watching,
You are everything to me.

Let's not forget a thing & live it all for tonight.

If tonight is the last thing I remember, I want to know it will last forever.

When you're alone,
Remember that you're in my dreams.
When you love,
Love the way that I love you.

Hey everyone, this is my band Breathing Room, and I wrote the lyrics.

The song is about this girl that I fell head over heels for right before she had to be sent away to boarding school. She's had problems in the past and since I can't be there to help her anymore, this is a song about giving her hope and to keep her head up, no matter of the situation at hand while at the same time declaring my love for her.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Bron-Y-Aur Stomp

This is about bronies. They communicate by stomping.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
