Pretty girl on every corner
Sunshine turns the sky to gold
Warm warm, it's always warm here
I can't take the cold

Streets littered with diamonds
Every one's glistening
This whole world shines so brightly
I can't see a thing

She's pretty as a picture
She is like a golden ring
Circles me with love and laughter
I can't feel a thing

The sky's gonna open
People gonna pray and crawl
It's gonna rain down fire
It's gonna burn us all

The sky's gonna open
People gonna pray and sing
I can't feel a thing

She's pretty as a picture
She is like a golden ring
Cirlces me with love and laughter
And I can't feel a thing

The sky's gonna open
People gonna pray and crawl
It's gonna rain down fire
It's gonna burn us all

The sky's gonna open
People gonna pray and sing
I can't feel a thing

Oh, I can't feel.

This is pretty good, written by David Greenwalt and performed by Christian Kane in season 2 of Angel.

The song itself is about being disconnected from life and just a feeling of utter despair.

But! In context of the show, this song is a premonition and EVERYBODY misses it. Not to spoil anything but listen to this song then watch season four of Angel, it'll all make sense.

"She's pretty as a picture She is like a golden ring Circles me with love and laughter I can't feel a thing"

That describes Angel's relationship with Cordy, he can't be loved or he'll turn evil.

"The sky's gonna open People gonna pray and crawl It's gonna rain down fire It's gonna burn us all"

The Annual Apocalypse, specifically when the Beast blocked out the sun. Or, when the "sky opened" and Jasmine descended, and everyone was "burned" as a result. Or possibly the final episode, when the sky really did open and thousands of demons descended.

I love this song... I don't care if it is about Angel or not... I think this music has a great feeling and if you feel the music... It touches you deeply...

TIP: If you play an acoustic guitar... learn this music... is really easy and will give you a lot of pleasure to play... It's amazing... there're no words to describe what you feel by playing and singing this song!

franck5p i learned guitar just for this song.

by the way the official meaning of this song is about Lindsays life in LA. But I take it to mean something else: not being able to feel love when you are surrounded by it. Being so emotionally down that all the good things pass you by. "Sky's gonna open, people gonna pray and sing, I can't feel a thing" is Lindsay so numb, so outwith his life he no longer feels love, hate,or happiness in his life. he feels nothing. He probably has Eve at this point but with Darla being ripped from him, being at a moral crossroads and having to battle an evil hand he just stops caring.

I think Its about how he knows the profecy and that the world is gonna end, but he doesnt really care, he has no feelings anymore. You can see in the whole show he wants to be good and struggles with it but is not capable of true feelings.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

American Town
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
