"Prophet" as written by and Kyle Mcdonald Miles Doughty....
I never thought too much on wealth
To let me keep it for myself,
But while the world's been turning upside-down
It's hard to talk about.
Another bottle off the shelf
With the hand that you've been dealt.
What's going wrong's been going on
It's time for you to scream and shout.

And I ain't no prophet
To cure some damn disease.
And would you help me anyway
If I was on my knees?
I'm going through my time of change
In my time of need,
And every little thing is gonna
Be all the same.

I never thought too much on wealth
To let me keep it for myself,
But while the world's been turning upside-down
It's hard to talk about.
Another bottle off the shelf
With the hand that you've been dealt.
What's going wrong's been going on
It's time for you to scream and shout.

I went to that corner store
To get myself a bottle of beer.
I was rollin with a friend of mine
When the liquor was a little more clear.
I always knew what I wanted from the start
Was a reason just to get out late.
Drinkin early was a dream for the summertime,
Music, and my seed, Mary Jane.

I never thought too much on wealth
To let me keep it for myself,
But while the world's been turning upside-down
It's hard to talk about.

I never thought too much on wealth
To let me keep it for myself,
But while the world's been turning upside-down
It's hard to talk about.
Another bottle off the shelf
With the hand that you've been dealt.
What's going wrong's been going on
It's time for you to scream and shout.

What's going wrong's been going on
It's time for you to scream and shout.

It's time for you to scream and shout.
It's time for you to scream and shout.

General CommentI'd say it's about dating a girl when neither of you really care about each other, but it just isn't quite over yet.
Definitely one of my favorite songs.
