Yeah, oh, oh
Ah, yeah, oh

She is the restless river running through my veins
She rides without the reins, her name's Juanita
She lives in the heart of every woman in the world
Within' the reach of every girl who wants to meet her

(She's gonna be riding through) her name's Juanita
(She's gonna be riding free) she's riding free
(She's gonna be inside of you) she's inside of you
(Gonna be inside of me) and inside of me, yeah

Oh, go with her, flow with her
Dream with her, scream with her
Let her take over, or just get to know her
Be everything you can be
If you can find her and free her
Juanita will unchain your heart

When someone tries to take away the freedom of your choice
To take away your voice, that's when you need her
She's there if you dare to give your broken wings a try
C'mon and take a leap and fly, and you can be her

(She's gonna be riding through) oh, Juanita
(She's gonna be riding free) riding free
(She's gonna be part of you) she's a part of of you
(Gonna be a part of me) and a part of me, yeah

Oh, go with her, flow with her
Yeah, dream with her, scream with her
Oh, let her take over, or just get to know her
Be everything you can be
If you can find her and free her
Juanita will unchain your heart

Oh, Juanita, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, hmm, yeah
Ah, oh

Oh, go with her, flow with her
Dream with her, scream with her
Let her take over, or just get to know her
Be everything you can be
Oh, go with her, flow with her
Oh, dream with her, scream with her
Let her take over, or just get to know her
Be everything you can be
Oh, if you can find her and free her
Juanita will unchain your heart

I recently was accepted to a music industry camp in Nashville and I went to the local Sound Emporium recording studio on a field trip. Juanita, the woman in this song, works as the manager of this studio. She talked to all the campers about her life and line of work managing a studio, one story of which was about a young Shania Twain coming into the studio talking of how she'd be the Madonna of country. Juanita told us all of how they grew up together and how Shania's career grew to what it is today. As the story went on, one day she said that she received an email with an attachment from Shania and she opened it to find a song file; this song, that Shania wrote about her. This was such a moving story to hear even though I am not a Shania Twain fan. The song is about their friendship through being partners in the industry.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.
