It’s the hardest thing to say.
I think about it night and day.
How I fucked up and I need you to stay.
That’s the last thing I want to do.
Kill myself instead of you,
and it’s so sad that one of us should lose.

All our messed up friends can’t say
why we’ve thrown our love away.
Feeling so far it pulls my head to the floor.
Not thinking anymore.

Gotta lose myself. God forget about it.
It’s getting harder every night
to do the things I know are right,
cos I’m fucked up, and I’m out of my mind.

Hold me close and then you tie me down.
Tonight’s fine girl is the finest around.
Feeling so fucked, I put my hands to the floor and pray.

She gotta lose herself. God forgot about her.
It’s all wine and roses. Whine all the time. Bye.

the guitar work in this is amazing. but the song is about a dude who wants to do drugs more and have a relationship but they get in the way of his focus and he cant keep it together to he puts his hands to the floor and prays that it all gets better.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
