Listen to Yourself

Gone are the days from the friendships we made.
It's not worth keeping up, so I'll let it all fade.
Your sparks of jealousy ignite my flames of rage.
I closed the book. but I marked the page.

Now I'm ashamed of the way that you act.
And all the things that you said, you can never take them back.
Stop talking to me because your words are cheap,
go back and talk amoungst your herd of mindless sheep.

You never had a thought of your own,
your friends control everything that you know.
You walk the same path mapped out by your peers,
not fitting in is your biggest fear.

Now I'm ashamed of the way that you act.
All the bullshit you said you can never take it back.
I turned my cheek the other way,
I'm no longer listening to the things you have to say.

I won't get in line to shake your hand
I don't want to be considered what you'd call a friend.
People are remembered for the things they say,
watch out who you talk to, you could be digging your own grave.
