"Let me show you somethin'"
"Let me show you somethin'"

Dr. Octagon paramedic fetus of the East
With priests I'm from the Church of the Operating Room
With the strike support scalpels since the holocaust
I do indeed in greed explore meet the patients
Back to brooms with the nurse with the voodoo curse
Holding up office lights standing at huge heights
Back and forth left wing swing to North
East and South with blood pouring down your mouth
I come prepared with the white suit and stethoscope
Listen to your heartbeat, delete beep beep BEEP
Your insurance is high, but my price is cheap
Look at the land... Blue Flowers!
Drawing by the purple pond, in the purple pastures Blue Flowers!
Drawing by the purple pond, yellow ink that flows Blue Flowers!
Drawing by the pond, look, it's raining yellow
Would you care to listen to me more? Thank you
Holding bags on down right from the hospital
It's a patient that's worth to keep the germs off the turf
Cybernetic microscopes and metal antidote
Two telescopes that magnify the size of a roach
Three computers to cup of coffee planted with my hand and
Astroplanets detached turn on rear foggers
Cut the light on the kid, and turn the bright on
Supersonic waves combine and burn as brainwaves
I see the mascot of Evil he's not Knievel
Shakespeare's gone don't even think about it
Yes, as I'm going to the park, I see... Blue Flowers!
It's raining green, by the pond Blue Flowers!
It's totally raining green, pouring Blue Flowers!
I smell the bees and the birds Blue Flowers!
Different aspects of life, blue flowers

"Let me show you something"

General CommentWARNING: THIS IS HIGHLY SUBJECTIVE CONTENT. YOU CAN DISAGREE BUT YOU MUST DO SO THROUGH ARGUMENT. Also, lengthy.

"let me show you somethin" (2x)
    (PEDAGOGY)

Dr. octagon, paramedic fetus of the east
(rising up; growing into his own, voice of a region)
With priests, I'm from the church of the operating room
(with priests ambiguous, siding with religion? with actual priests? with the same logic used by priests? clarifies: "church of the operating room"; the belief/faith of science, of medicine)
With the strike support, scalpels since the holocaust
(strike support; juxtaposition of striking and supporting; the scalpel of the holocaust cutting down humanity by exploiting the individual, advancing science in remarkable ways; metaphor for his lyrics, cutting down the barriers of language to reach something novel or new; whether he does or not doesn't matter)
I do indeed in greed, explore meet the patients
(he 'hungers' [greed] to draw in and use all that's available; the patients are words, and the conceptions we have about words; but he is also 'exploring' himself, learning as he goes along, which grants to the improvisational/stream of consciousness motif)
Back to brooms with the nurse with the voodoo curse
(clean up; any up has a down, and any down has a clean-up; voodoo curse refers to an opposing religion; belief, opinion, faith, regard, etc)
Holding up office lights, standing at huge heights
("the voodoo curse".... is doing so; but so is he, by association; the voodoo curse that the nurse has or that he and the nurse have (societal pressure? norms? maybe.) holding up the structures that keep us in 'the light'; that help us understand so we don't digress into absolute relativity [lol; logical paradox inherent in logic]; huge heights implies reaching for something greater; past what we currently understand)
Back and forth, left wing swing to north
(back and forth is straight forward; left to north is a bit more abstract; implies directional change, stretching boundaries)
East and south with blood pouring down your mouth
(now, stretching boundaries in order to bridge; but it comes at a cost, blood, pain, suffering, all a part of understanding and knowing and using knowledge)
I come prepared with the white suit and stethascope
(he has the "skill set" or the "tools" required; namely, intellect, lyrics to express these terms abstractly and thus avoid contradiction in order to remain coherent.. speaking of which...)
Listen to your heartbeat, delete beep beep beep
(he is monitoring; looking for your "heartbeat" response)
Your insurance is high, but my price is cheap
(your mechanisms to compensate his impartment of knowledge are great; you seek to learn. however, he wishes to offer it freely. giving is easier, taking is easy. magnitude effect.)
    Look at the land...blue flowers!
(if you plant the knowledge, it grows. why blue? no idea. but, maybe if we get more colors...)
Drawing by the purple pond, in the purple pastures blue flowers!
Drawing by the purple pond, yellow ink that flows blue flowers!
Drawing by the pond, look, it's raining yellow
(blue by the purple; blue a primary color, purple a secondary (blue+red; implied red, or implied undercurrent of thought/communication, allegory. next, we see yellow: another primary color. the 'rain' (or the act of raining; distributing, laying, educating, disseminating, yellow leads to the blue). but how can 1 primary color lead to another? my guess would be that we are trying to impose causality where there isn't necessarily causality; the connection exists in a correlative sense, and we choose to ACCEPT (by 'drawing' or literally imposing) our understanding; believing versus [absolutely] knowing. color is a perfect concept for this guess, considering the psychological implications of color interpretation.)

Would you care to listen to me more? thank you
(let me teach you more? i hope you're listening; i think its important, and i think you should give it a chance if you haven't grasped it yet. in any case, I do it in a way that sounds coherent and fluid)

Holding bags on down right from the hospital
(bags? what kinda bags? he IS talking about a hospital. lets see...)
It's a patient that's worth to keep the germs off the turf
(it's worth it to treat a patient; but, it is also "a patient that is worth" the value of "keep[ing] the germs off the turf"; or, that sacrifice is worth it if it leads to discovery, new understanding.)
    Cybernetic microscopes and metal antidote
    (tools + answers)
Two telescopes that magnify the size of a roach
(new understanding; here it is an actual example. possible reference to weed; weed as the mind-expander, the false dopamine effect and the ability to think about concepts in abnormal ways)
Three computers to cup of coffee planted with my hand and
(caffeine to stimulate, multitasking, but also: statistics. 3 computers: 1 cup of coffee; output is greater than input at the cost of the 'patient'; language, or the artist himself)
Astroplanets detached turn on rear foggers
(going back on "already understood" information with new information; retrospective validity questioned)
Cut the light on the kid, and turn the bright on
(Emerson: shine enough light on anything and you see the truth. information is a commodity we can organize with tools [read: language] in order to pursue [but almost definitively never capture] big-t Truth)
Supersonic waves combine and burn as brainwaves
(and here he wraps up this concept; the sound that is recorded on whatever device you are listening to his music on is playing back waves into your ears which your brain interprets; burning because a.) the mind is working or re-working; inducing or deducing [read: interpreting, perceiving, receiving] and b.) implies that knowledge should 'burn'; is challenging.)
I see the mascot of evil he's not kneivel
Shakespeare's gone don't even think about it
(throws out references; one low-culture one high in order to a.) draw the two together into something that should be seen as some strange amalgamation with some sort of connection (even if, and this is a guess, that the 'connection' is that no-connection exists; and this fits with the "yellow->blue" / "purple = blue (observed)/red (not observed)" theory)
Yes, as I'm going to the park, I see...blue flowers!
It's raining green, by the pondblue flowers!
It's totally raining green, pouringblue flowers!
I smell the bees and the birdsblue flowers!
Different aspects of life, blue flowers
("different aspects of life" as concluding line, wraps up the color discussion. but! New color: green; it is raining green, another secondary color. green is the result of mixing the two primary colors blue and yellow. now, the argument seems to make sense. red is still missing, and i think justifiably so: we will never have all the facts in order to complete an absolute understanding or knowledge of a system; rests, once again, on belief; turtles all the way down; infinite regress. also: playing with verbs; "pouring" blue flowers; the rain is pouring, but the flowers, with this sentence structure, may also be "pouring". here, i think it is the combination of sense interpretation. listening to the music, we have the wavelengths of sound, but color also represents another sense; we see visual wavelengths and interpret them. this fits, as he introduces another sense: smell. we may not smell what he smells in the song, but the natural smells (rain, pounds, flowers, birds, bees) seem to be something intuitive or intrinsic; more wavelengths, more brainwaves. taste and touch are absent, and arguably this makes sense; taste would be otherwise impossible to convey and would also confound the underlying argument by making something more 'primal' (seeing, smelling, hearing may be useful and vital, but 'taste' is related to hunger, survival, primal urge and instinct and thus digresses behind the high-brow intellectualism of the other 'refined' and differently-used senses of interpretation. beauty is not in taste but it is in vision and auditory sense. and touch: concepts are intangible, so this sense isn't needed for the experience being communicated.)

tl;dr : open your eyes, open your ears. see and hear what you choose and not what is fed to you. be aware. approach intelligence.
