"Life Will Go On" as written by and Chris Isaak....
Broken skies,
Heartaches that flowers won't mend
Say goodbye
Knowing that this is the end
Tender dreams, shadows fall
Love too sweet, to recall
Dry your eyes, Face the dawn

Life will go on
All day long thought
That we still had a chance
Letting go, this is the end of romance
Broken hearts find your way
Make it through just this day
Face the world on your own

Life will go on, life will go on
There'll be blue skies, every true love
Someday I'll hold you again
They'll be blue skies in a better world,
Darlin'
Tender dreams, shadows fall
Love too sweet, to recall
Dry your eyes, Face the dawn

Life will go on, life will go on
Broken heart find your way
Make it through just this day
Face the world on your own
Life will go on

General CommentI first heard this song on the movie Chasing Liberty. I fekk in love with this song because it was so smooth and the words were so encouraging. I mean, many of us, (notice the word US and not YOU ALL) can relate. The parts "Broken skies, heartaches that flowers won't mend " and "Love too sweet to recall " is saying, yes this was a great love, but we have reached a point where gifts can't heal the wounds of our heart. It's a parting song that delivers the message that yes, we are hurting now but it's okay because life will go on. You hear that Pasha Mure (yes, it's a guy), it was a great love but chocolates and flowers can't take back the pain and I have finally come to terms with that fact. Why? Because LIFE WILL GO ON!!! Whew, I feel better.

General CommentThis song is absolutely beautiful. Even though one might feel completely broken or torn up about someone, the only thing there is to do is to carry on, regardless of how much weight is on their shoulders. Eventually, the pain which was once so vivid will just fade away and become a blur to whoever felt it. Then, somehow we feel like we can face it again.

"Dry your eyes, face the dawn -- life will go on, life will go on." Ah, so beautiful.
