so she woke up
woke up from where she was
lying still
saying i gotta do something about where were going
steped on a steam train
out of the driving rain baby
run from the darkness in my mind- whoah yeah
a a la la light n day
a la la light of day a la light of day

sweet the sin bitter tast
in my mouth
i see 7 towers
but i only see 1 way out
you gotta cry with out weeping
talk without speaking
scream without raising your voice
you know i took the poisin
from the poisin stream
and i floated out of here

a a la la light n day
a la la light n day a la light n day
woooo oooo oooo ooo

she runs through the steets
her eyes painted red
under black belly cloud in the rain
in through doorway
she brings me those white golden peals
stolen from the sea
she is raging, she is raging
and the storm blows up in her eye
she will suffer the needle chill
shes running to stand still

im still running, im still running
im still running all the way home
im still running, im still running
im still running all the way home
oooo oooooo ooooo ooooooo

General CommentThis is the most haunting song i have ever heard. the poetry is just beautiful, and real. I listened most of my life, but when i hear it now, i remember a time a few years ago when i was living in Dublin's northside and myself and a mate were having a smoke on a dark damp night outside our house when this lady runs from out of nowhere, driven demented, obviously from herione.
... I cannot remember much else except that she was running through the street's looking for someone, but going nowhere as she wasn't too aware of how she was. This wasn't the only time. I remember a man screaming out, again for only the one reason. Totally unaware of skangers throwing bottles across the street at him.
I have lots to add about this song, it has thousands of meanings for me.
