The bombs are in the air again,
our shepards' herded all the sheep into more wars that we can never win.
We're throwing caution to the wind,
the masses that we think we'll save will end up dying in the end.

And we sit down and watch them die.
The evening news echoes the cry.
We all perpetuate the lie.
God damn those lies.

Our leaders told a lie today,
they said we'll fight for what is right by god and might will make the lesser pay.
Society in massive dissaray,
a misguided nation is looking for a better way.

And we sit down and watch them die.
The evening news echoes the cry.
We all perpetuate the lie.
God damn those lies.

So don't even think to try,
I never want to die,
for you or your misguided philosophy.
My world is in my hands,
no need to take commands.
I'm doing what I want to do and that's alright with me.

And we sit down and watch them die.
The evening news echoes the cry.
We all perpetuate the lie.
God damn those lies.
God damn those lies.
God damn those lies.
God damn those lies.
God damn those lies.

General Commentthis band is one of the best bham bands around and this song is obviously about the government lieing to the people that they are supposed to be representing and speaking for. this song is probably more specificaly about the lies told that brought the u.s. into the iraq war.
