"White Flag" as written by and Rollo Armstrong Dido Armstrong....
Stuck in school
Learning the rules
We'll find out just who we are

What if teacher tells us lies that we believe

Graduate
Clean the slate
They had no clue just who we were

What if the teacher told us lies that we believe
As another dreaded autumn sheds it's leaves

Fighting words
Say I failed
Wounds will heal
Exhale

Time's a ship on water
Innocence will lessen as you sail
You sail

What if teacher told us lies that we believe
As another dreaded autumn sheds it's leaves
And what if happiness is solar systems away
Then I might as well just wave the white flag

General CommentIt's kind of a comming of age song.

You're trying to learn the rules, then you get out of school and are lost and confused and don't know where you're going and what you're doing. You see all these things that rob you of your innocence and are freaking out because you don't know if you'll ever be happy. Then there's that thought... 'should I just give up?'
