Temperatures rise, rising and reeling
from feral files found in the trash can
confirming all our deepest fears

Oooh television keeps us scared to death
Oooh don’t go outside, better stay in bed

Mold in the air might cause a car crash
somewhere in France
leading to outbreaks of airborn plagues
violent earthquakes

Oooh television keeps us scared to death
Oooh don’t go outside, better stay in bed

(Ah) Run to your momma’s basement
bury your head
so you can’t hear the TV singing
soon we’ll all be dead
get up! get up! go on and see the very last sunset

Oooh television keeps us scared to death
Oooh don’t go outside, better stay in bed

General Commentfor the people who don't know what this is, it is an In Reverie B-Side that was available at the saves the day secret site. it can probably be found now on any major p2p.

anyway the song is clearly about the way TV news reports on horrifying stories, which in some cases, are designed to keep us scared. but rather than being ABOUT that, the song just kind of mocks people who buy into this fear, because we shouldn't.

it's a cool song, faster than most of In Reverie, but from the same sessions. check it out.
