You're worth so much
It'll never be enough
To see what you have to give
How beautiful you are
Yet seem so far from everything
You're wanting to be
You're wanting to be

Tears falling down again
Tears falling down

You fall to your knees
You beg, you plead
Can I be somebody else
For all the times I hate myself?
Your failures devour your heart
In every hour, you're drowning
In your imperfection

You mean so much
That heaven would touch
The face of humankind for you
How special you are
Revel in your day
You're fearfully and wonderfully made
You're wonderfully made

Tears falling down again
Come let the healing begin

You fall to your knees
You beg, you plead
Can I be somebody else
For all the times I hate myself?
Your failures devour your heart
In every hour, you're drowning
In your imperfection

You're worth so much
So easily crushed
want to be like everyone else
No one escapes
Every breath we take
Dealing with our own skeletons, skeletons

You fall to your knees
You beg, you plead
Can I be somebody else
For all the times I hate myself?
Your failures devour your heart
In every hour, you're drowning
In your imperfection

Won't you believe, yeah
Won't you believe, yeah
All the things I see in you

You're not the only one
You're not the only one
Drowning in imperfection

Yeah basically it seems to be about someone who thinks that they are worthless because they'll never be perfect. They wish they could be someone else and hate themselves. But God loves them for who they are he doesn't want them to be perfect because he loves every part of them including their inperfections.

You're worth so much It'll never be enough To see what you have to give How beautiful you are Yet seem so far from everything You're wanting to be You're wanting to be (I think hes singing about a girl whos depressed and doesnt think of her self in a good light.she doesnt see how wonderful she is)

Tears falling down again Tears falling down (crying, obiously)

You fall to your knees You beg, you plead Can I be somebody else For all the times I hate myself? Your failures devour your heart In every hour, you're drowning In your imperfection (she doesnt want to be herself she wants to change and be like everyone, she hates who she is)

You mean so much That heaven would touch The face of humankind for you How special you are Revel in your day You're fearfully and wonderfully made You're wonderfully made (Hes trying to convinse her that shes speical and god put he on earth for a reason even if she hasnt found it yet)

Tears falling down again Come let the healing begin (he wants to help heal her and make her feel better)

You fall to your knees You beg, you plead Can I be somebody else For all the times I hate myself? Your failures devour your heart In every hour, you're drowning In your imperfection

You're worth so much So easily crushed Wanna be like everyone else No one escapes Every breath we take Dealing with our own skeletons, skeletons (every one has prblems and secrets and even though some peoples(like hers)are worse we need to see the good in life and in our self)

You fall to your knees You beg, you plead Can I be somebody else For all the times I hate myself? Your failures devour your heart In every hour, you're drowning In your imperfection

Won't you believe, yeah Won't you believe, yeah All the things I see in you (hes begging her to listen and realize that everything hes saying is true)

You're not the only one You're not the only one Drowning in imperfection (even when we feel alone and like the only ones that are a little different and a little messed up there are others out there to)

This song is about dealing with the fact that we ARE human. We're going to screw up. Even though we know this objectively, it's hard to deal with after we actually did hurt someone of fall short of our goal. All the other times we messed up come rushing back to us, and we think that if we had been a little stronger or smarted we could've done it right.

great song...its like 2 me that if you're human you're imperfect..you're born that way..but even through all of your mistakes that you make in your life, it doesn't matter, because God will still love you either way. .."You're fearfully and wonderfully made.."

First of all, I'll say that this is a great song.

To me, this song is saying how imperfect humans think that they are.( I know it's redundant, but let me ellaborate)

Just about everyone has looked in the mirror and been disatisfied. Instead of dwelling on the good, humans tend to dwell on every little bad thing they can find about themselves. This leads to eating disorders, or other changes(such as a girl dressing more revealing to get attention). This song does a great job of reminding you how amazing you are because you are made by the ruler of the universe to be so.

thats harsh M333333. i dont think a Christian rock group (New Testament) wants Christians, and potential crossovers, to believe God will banish you to hell if you dont pay Him. notice the lines that say she is good and pretty and whatever. I as an Athiest still love Skillet cause im open like that (m333333 must be the less open kind... lol). but i still try see different messages. to me (Even though Skillet might have meant to portray God talking to anyone) think its a guy talking to this girl. she obviously doesnt love herself as much as she should, and he thinks she is the best thing since sliced bread. She wants to be perfect and is unhappy with anything less and believes she is worthless, but he says that she DOES mean everything, and the world to him. and as far as the eating disorder goes aar reject girl, you are way off. i can see why you are rejected, your special ed.

"No one escapes Every breath we take Dealing with our own skeletons, skeletons"

you heard the word skeleton and freaked out. ever heard a proverb talking about "Skeletons in ones closet?" it means that everyone has things they have to deal with, something they dont want people to know about so they keep them hidden (like you would hide something in a closet). So he is telling her not to dwell on those things because noone can escape their past and we all have them, no one is perfect. there was not any other part of this song that even mentioned anything at all about anything that deals with a dissorder, retard.

First of all - all of skillet's songs are my favorites. This song however is so powerful! especially in today's society. We truly are worth so much in God's image, but we will never be enough for the world to consider us beautiful enough. We (and mostly girls) spend so much time 'drowning in our imprefections" it's rediculous. This song gives me hope. Cuz I know I'm not the only one who has imperfections. and i know that my 'imperfections' will be made perfect by God.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Amazing
