Well, I don't want to be
Left out again, left in the cold
When I thought I made a friend
But it must not have been

You serve me with your words
Maybe that's too harsh
Cause I know you loved me then

But things taken apart
They show deeper things

PRE-CHORUS
Don't forget me
As you knew me
Don't regard me
Cause I was made to be

CHORUS
More than a memory
More than your last retreat
More than one to share a meal
And life on a movie screen
I don't want to be. I don't care to be
A fading memory...

I pushed the swing and watched you fall
and I picked you up and brushed you off
I watched you paint the world black and blue and I said enough,
This fight aint you.

PRE-CHORUS
Don't forget me
As you knew me
Don't regard me
Cause I was made to be

CHORUS

PRECHORUS

CHORUS

I don't want to be, I don't care to be
A fading memory...
