"It's The Fear" as written by Robert Westerholt and Sharon J. Den Adel....
It waits for the day I will let it out.
To give it a reason, to give its might.

I fear who I am becoming,
I feel that I am losing the struggle within.
I can no longer restrain it,
my strength it is fading,
I have to give in.

It's the fear
Fear of the dark
It's growing inside of me,
that one day will come to life.
Have to save
To save my beloved,
there is no escape,
because my faith is horror and doom.

Hold down your head now,
just let me pass by.
Don't feed my fear,
if you don't want it out.

I fear who I am becoming,
I feel that I am losing all beauty within.
I can no longer restrain it,
my strength is fading.
I have to give in.

It's the fear
Fear of the dark
It's growing inside of me,
that one day will come to life.
Have to save
To save my beloved,
there is no escape,
because my faith is horror and doom.

Long ago it came to me
and ever since that day,
infected with its rage
but it ends today.

It's the fear
Fear of the dark
It's growing inside of me,
that one day will come to life.
Have to save
To save my beloved,
there is no escape,
because my faith is horror and doom.

General CommentFor me it seems to be about a person with destructive and harmful patterns in their behaviour (maybe acoholism, maybe a bad temper) who can see the damage they're doing and all the hurt they're causing and regrets it. it's about that peerson struggling to overcome that problem.

General CommentI think this song should have been on the X-men 3 soundtrack as it describes Jean Grey and how she struggled to control the Phoenix perfectly.

General Commentsome of the lyrics are wrong. here are the right ones:

    Its the Fear

Waits for the day, I will let it out
To Give it a reason, to give it its might

I fear who I am becoming,
I feel that I am losing the struggle within
I can no longer restrain it,
    My strength, it is fading
    I have to give in

    It's the fear,
    The fear of the darkness
    is growing inside of me
That one day will come to life,
    Have to save,
    Save my beloved,
    There is no escape
Because my faith is horror and doom

    Hold down your head now,
    Just let me pass by
    Don't feed my fear,
If you don't want it out

I fear who I am becoming,
I feel that I'm losing all beauty within
I can no longer restrain it,
    My strength, it is fading
    I have to give in

    It's the fear,
    The fear of the darkness
    is growing inside of me
that one day will come to life
    Have to save,
    Save my beloved,
    There is no escape
Because my faith is horror and doom

Long ago, it came to me
    and ever since that day,
    Infected with its rage
    But it ends today

    It's the fear,
    The fear of the darkness
    is growing inside of me
that one day will come to life
    Have to save,
    Save my beloved,
    There is no escape
Because my faith is horror and doom

Once again I love this song. It is actually my fave WT song by far!!!

General CommentShe's faced soemthing that has had a larege impact on her. For something so full of rage, and anger-- it must have been horrific and hard to overcome. Perhaps she thought she overcame it, but with each passing month she realized that there is no overcoming it... no escaping it. I think the song begins about an internal personal struggle then moves outwards. We're all afraid of what lies in the darkness. More than anything, we are all terrified of becoming that which we hate.

General CommentI think the lyrics are wrong. There's a line that should read "They won. They will come to life"

This song comes closer to describing me than anything I've ever heard. I think she's describing the darkness, the evil, within herself. It's always there. It's always struggling to break free, and it never tires. She knows that she can't control it forever. Eventually it will overwhelm her. Eventually she'll be the little voice inside, struggling to break free, instead of the other way around.

General Commenti dont know how this song came to be on my ipod, and i usually dont like singles titles 'its the fear' or something similar by bands that have slightly lame names.
just goes to show that you should judge a book by its cover, this song is great
