"Pale" as written by Robert Westerholt and Sharon J. Den Adel....
The world seems not the same,
though I know nothing has changed.
It's all my state of mind,
I can't leave it all behind.
I have stand up to be stronger.

I have to try to break free
from the thoughts in my mind.
Use the time that I have,
I can't say goodbye,
have to make it right.
Have to fight, cause I know
in the end it's worthwhile,
that the pain that I feel slowly fades away.
It will be alright.

I know, should realize
time is precious, it is worthwhile
Despite how I feel inside,
have to trust it will be alright.
Have to stand up to be stronger.

Oh, this night is too long.
I have no strength to go on.
No more pain, I'm floating away.
Through the mist I see the face
of an angel, who calls my name.
I remember you're the reason I have to stay.

General Commentthis is a great song, it's impossible not to be amazed by her beautiful voice.
The lyrics are great to, because they give hope and reasons why we should stay in this world and not kill ourselves...

General CommentWhen my cousin killed herself, I got so depressed. This song helped me not to kill myself.
I also think this song is about a person thinking about suicide but they see an angel, and they remember that it's the reason they have to stay. I can't help but think that that angel for me is my cousin-probably the person that wants me to stay alive the most

General CommentThis song is absolutely beautiful. Someone who is alone and sad all the time is constantly thinking of suicide, but they know they shouldn't do it, because there's that one person out there for them that will make everything better one day. One night, it just gets to be too much, and they attempt suicide, as they're dying, they see a face, the face of the one person they love, and know that there really is a reason to hang on.

General Commentthe lyrics are pretty obvious i think, i think its about the meaning of life, but not a general meaning but a personal reason to live. that things we do are not in vain, we have to get through severe hard times but in the end it will all be worthwhile.

to me its a kind of religious song. or at least believing in something or someone.

at first the lyric looks kind of cliche stereotype kinda depressed lyrics, but the meaning is very powerfull if you look deeper into it

General CommentIt's been said, but I think the song is clearly about pulling oneself from suicide/suicidal thoughts.

The only thing I'm a little ambivalent about in regards to the song is that the "angel who calls my name" is "THE reason" she has to stay. For those who don't necessarily have one particularly person to pull them from their misery, it makes the song less applicable when it otherwise could be highly relatable and inspiring. I suppose it could be the HOPE of a person worth living for arriving someday, though . . .

General CommentMmhmm... I think this is based on Interview With a Vampire. When Lestrat bites Louis and Louis gets over the shock, he sees the world differently and thinks 'the world has changed but it's still the same'. He's seeing the world in a different way through his vampire eyes.
    Quote from the song -
"The world seem not the same
Though I know nothing has changed
It’s all my state of mind"

Also, Louis wanted to die when his wuife and child died, taht's why Lestrat bit him, so he could be dead but alive and lose all the pain in time

"Use the time that I have
    I can’t say goodbye
    Have to make it right
Have to fight, cause I know
    In the end it’s worthwile
That the pain that I feel slowly fades away
    It will be alright"

That's what I think anyway, based upon Interview With a Campire
