Can you feel the pain inside sometimes in my mind?
In the land of loneliness the seas of blood run cold
Is the feeling lost inside within the sins of all mankind?
Time after time we stood united on we go

Fly far away don't let the world pass you by
Live for the day when we must stand and survive
Now we face the judgment day our souls will feel the pain
Hear the screams of my world through the rain

Silent fields of despair my tears in the rain
Pain in my heart bleeding through
One day we'll be back for one moment in time
Endlessly searching for you

Who can cure my emptiness inside for this time?
Suffering from loneliness my dreams and hopes will die
No more feelings left inside my blackened heart I cannot hide
Time after time our souls divided on we cry

Fly far away don't leave your own past behind
Live for the day another year passes by
Now we turn to face our fear there's nothing more to say
Still your dreams and my nightmares remain

Silent fields of despair my tears in the rain

While the idea of an escaped enemy makes a lot of sense, there might be some more meaning to it. When I listened closely to the lyrics, and then read them, the idea of somebody very close to you going far away may give some meaning. I know that's not typically what a Dragonforce song would be about, but hear me out.

"Can you feel the pain inside sometimes in my mind?" and "In the land of loneliness" - may represent the feeling of having someone you love being far away.

"Fly far away don't let the world pass you by. Live for the day when we must stand and survive. Now we face the judgment day our souls will feel the pain. Hear the screams of my world through the rain." - the narrator knows that the person he feels very close to has to go away and not let good things pass them by, but they must feel united even if they may feel hurt that they are separated, and hope to still be able to communicate.

"Silent fields of despair, my tears in the rain. Pain in my heart bleeding through. One day we'll be back for one moment in time, endlessly searching for you." - may signify the storyteller is in the fields where he used to spend a lot of time with the person he is talking about, but now that they're gone, he feels sad over that.

"Who can cure my emptiness inside for this time?" - the narrator has a broken heart.

"Time after time our souls divided on we cry" - the narrator and the person of whom he's speaking of both mourn at being apart.

It's just a thought. I mean, it's not like exactly a power-metal Romeo and Juliet, or even a five-minute "Stairway To Heaven", but I just wanted to put my two cents in. Hope this comment helps, and by the way, Dragonforce rocks!

Yeah, it's about a battlefield right after a war, where the leader of the opposing side escaped?

It does say "One day we'll be back for one moment in time Endlessly searching for you..." after all >_>

I agree somewhat with Fade 2 Black. An escaped prisoner/ enemy/ whatever. And that might be why it's called FIelds of Despair, because they can't find them =] Heck I dunno.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
