"Last Year's Nest" as written by and Joshua Latshaw Robert W. Avery....
Discontent in this life as is, our mechanisms deviate
Rust derided inspires change, and leaves behind exhausted dreams, ignition engaged
So save your wishes for the sky, diluted and disguised, as a perfect fuel that won't ignite
But hope will heal us all
Set to action our forward thought
To allocate and stabilize
The truth for so long can only hide
In shadows of our own design amend and revise
A wish will leave you empty handed (hope will provide)
Shun your responsibilities (and lead an empty life)
A dream alone will bear no seed (hope is alive)
And wishes will leave you dead and buried
Lost and forgotten
With your lives

General CommentThis next song is about the difference between wishing for something and hoping for something. I know that sounds a lot alike but the difference is, is a wish is something we can do over and over, and then forget we ever said it. Hope takes responsibility. Hope takes action, on what we want to happen. And that’s what we need more of today, hope.
No more wishing for shit, we’ve all wished for too much shit, it’s time to instill hope into our lives and take responsibility and action on what we want to happen. This is called Last Year’s Nest

General Commenti'm not quite sure what this song is about, but it feels as though its sarcastic...as if narrator is like a gov. offical or someone else who would say don't wish hope is the only thing that can pull us through because if you look at what is in parathesis during the bridge and whats being said it sounds almost insane that someone sane would say those things "shun your responsiblities (and lead an empty life)" now im not saying any of what i've said is true the first line kind of says this "...our mechanisms deviate" our machine parts turn from the subject or norm...well thats what i think...it may be wrong but i just can't get around the bridge
