"The Seduction" as written by and Alexandre Michel Gerard Desplat....
Where did she go I do not know, And which direction was it snowing?
I'll turn around again, Paint over pictures on the wall
I can't believe she gave me alcohol
I thought of Jezebel
Hung from a wrecking ball to see a fashion show
I think you knew me so well

Juliet you know you want it!

I've been receiving strange phone calls from the city
I will not extend my hand to the general
And I do not think the people will remember us
I hung from a wrecking ball to see your fashion show
I think you know me well

I'm still receiving strange phone calls from the city
And I will not extend my hand to the general
And I do not think the people will remember us
I hung from a wrecking ball to see your fashion show
I think you knew me well

I've been jumping over buildings, I've been sleeping in the street
"Mr. Jones" will be right with you if you would just have a seat
Well I'll meet you at the river where we both can clear our heads
I think we would look great dead.

I've got to find the princess, she's in another castle
I'm dancing with the Capulet
We're so "crazy in love"

Juliet you know you want it!

General CommentRemember how Romeo went to the apothecary (drug dealer) to get the poison?

In one of the final scenes, after romeo had been out of the town for a several weeks "mourning" or whatever, he went to see this apothecary to get a vial of poison because he thought juliet was already dead; He planned on killing himself in her tomb.

Well i think "Mr. Jones" may in some way serve as a representation of a modern day version of the apothecary, seeing as in the same stanza he also says "I think we would look great dead". Mr Jones Is going to medicate him some how.

Idk, just a thought. That seems to be the part that throws people off the most.

I think if this is really about romeo, the strange phone calls from the city part could be when he was exiled to Mantua and he received word from balthasar that juliet had died... Like he didn't want to believe it.

I think if you read the sparknotes on it some parts of this song make a lot more sense.

General CommentI'm really not sure what this song is about....but I really like it. Does anybody have any imput on what they think?

I almost thought the chorus was talking about "making deals with the world in an 'earthly setting'"...if you know what I mean

I'm don't think Juliet is actually a person....more of a representation of the industry....

I don't know...it real difficult for me to type out.

If anybody has any imput...post it up!!

General CommentI think it's about Romeo and Juliet.

Maybe he wrote it as if it was modern, that or he wrote it from his point of view. How he would play the part of "Romeo."

General CommentI think the song is about temptation really...about the temptation that society as well as relationships have on us...to pressure us to conform to their ways..perhaps he is writing from juliets eyes what she must have been facing. i think hung from a wrecking ball is metaphorically speaking of being in the relationship was a crash course from the start .and she feels she has no way to turn.
