The end's not near
It's here
Alleluia
Spread the cheer
And watch the millenarians
Throw a party for a thousand years
You won't see the pious praying
They'll be too busy flaying
All the martyrs with better ways
To stop the world decaying
If you call me I won't be home
I'm hiding from the kingdom come
They can't see everything on earth
With the satellites and the roving drones
This is why hell is underground
Like a reclaimed bad part of town
We don't want to lose our souls
We're the saints who don't want to be found
It's here
Alleluia
Spread the cheer
And watch the millenarians
Throw a party for a thousand years
You won't see the pious praying
They'll be too busy flaying
All the martyrs with better ways
To stop the world decaying
If you call me I won't be home
I'm hiding from the kingdom come
They can't see everything on earth
With the satellites and the roving drones
This is why hell is underground
Like a reclaimed bad part of town
We don't want to lose our souls
We're the saints who don't want to be found

1st part The end is not near... When I heard this song it mean Jesus is coming back. You spread the cheer because it is the good new=Gospel (aka=the word of God). That is why you would want to say Alleluia. God will come back and have peace on earth for 1000 years. So that would be the millenarians party. (Revelation 20:1-15) 2nd part Wont see the pious praying because they will already be in hell. The martyrs with better ways will be the martyrs for Christ. (Revelation 20:1-15) They would stop the world decaying because God would be there with Love and perfection. No more envy, hate, greed, etc. Hard to imagine with the world we life in now, I know. Just try to be creative and us your imagination(: 3rd part If you call me I won't be home. I'm hiding from the kingdom come. I wont be home because I believe Christ died for my sins and yours.. and whoever believes in him shall no perish but have everlasting life. (John 3-16) He may be hiding from the fear of the Lord. If he would only repent and accept Christ there would be nothing to worry about. So that part of the song is trick to understand.?? just my view.. along with everything I'm saying. You cant see everything on earth with satellites and roving drones because everything on the earth can not be "seen" in the flesh and blood. (Ephesians 6:12) 4th part All makes sense except the last part.. "We're the saints who don't want to be found" Your guess is as good as mine. Here is one guess. Everything is done for the glory of God so I dont want to be found. Just give the glory to God.. Like I said.. That was just a guess.
No body needs to get mad. Im just saying what I got out of the song. I'm not saying Im right. I didnt write this song, but this is what came to mind when I heard it for the first time. God Bless everyone and whoever reads this...
Envy your Bible knowledge...you're definitely not Catholic. Protestants seem to really study the Bible. Good for you. I read through the Bible in its entirety twice, but never really studied more than a few chapters...Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Typical of too many. (Oh, and Romans. Like that one:)
