Sleep Little Nemo You're covered in leaves You're digging too deep So Sleep Little Nemo You won't have an alibi For what the cops will find Their bullets aren't stopping anything You can tell by the shine of my teeth You have to get rid of evidence So dump her body I can get out of anything You'll call me by my first name Houdini The Great Oh run Run Little Nemo They're catching up They're calling your bluff Jump Little Nemo You don't have to sleep In order to dream The cops will find A horrific sight Of Nemo's bride At the bottom of the lake And when they saw Her open mouth They looked inside And read the note that Nemo wrote (it entails) With love Uh oh My love I am sorry I missed you Oh Little Nemo Oh I know Little Nemo Now it's time to Sleep Now it's time to sleep But your bullets aren't stopping anything He's dressed as the calico cat Nemo's jumping to his death I'm still here You must call me by my first name Houdini the Great I'm spitting out bullets I'm still here… Hide The white Dress Hide the white dress

General CommentI've had some people make jokes about the whole emotional tones in this song and the title 'Sleep little Nemo' (as in 'Sleep little nEMO'). I've never really appreciated this song as much as now since I've just read the lyrics! I think being able to read the lyrics along with the song gives it this whole new dimension... I can hear this narrative/story instead of just a song by Trophy Scars.

To me, it seems as if the vocal is telling us a story about a guy called Nemo. It seems as if he just murdered a loved one:

The cops will find a horrific sight
    Of Nemo's bride

I think the song alternates between the imperson, narrator and what must have gone on in Nemo's head after the murder, how he doesn't have an alibi for the murder, how he left evidence that connects the murdered and him, how he has to get rid of the evidence and all that. He must have been pretty desperate about not wanting to get caught, but since there's so much evidence tying up between him and the crime, he's contemplating on jumping to his death so that he could sleep.

There's reference to Houdini the Great and I think that supports the whole idea of wanting to just easily disappear to get out of a tricky situation like Nemo's.

Before I read the lyrics, I was tuned into certain lines and it made me assume something completely different!

General CommentI think this song has to do with the old nes game called little nemo dream master, In the game Nemo fights through a dream world to rescue a princess. During the game you meet a character named calico cat. there just soo damn creative.
