"My Ships" as written by and Devendra Banhart....
My ships are frozen sticks
They lay stuck to the floor
My wrists and my breasts are bleeding bricks
They don't float anymore

And my tongure, it's a carbine scrolled
Doesn't run anymore
And my friends are all useless lense
They don't see anymore

And all my chicks are all useless hens
They don't lay anymore
And my fists are plastic dice
They're the shape of the sun

And my love is a so long song
Gone forever more
And I like where I
Yeah, I love where I
And I like where I live

General Commentfor me this song is about feeling completely, totally, utterly useless. everything you do is futile and makes no difference anymore...and you only seem to actually like one thing in your life, if that.

General CommentI agree. It's about feeling useless. Everything he sings about seems not to work (ship isn't going to sea, he can't float, his friends are blind, his lady friends won't put out, etc. ). Good song.

General Commentnothing in his life seems to be going right from the outside. his ships won't sail, he can't get laid, his friends can't see the same things they used to, but of course devendra knows that these material things don't change how much he likes where he lives. he is just energy existing and he likes it. oh my god he's so awesome. i love him
