What's so maybe about
What's so maybe about
What's so maybe about Katie?

What's the use in hesitating?
Can't you see that Katie's waiting?
Just because her youth is fading
Doesn't mean she's not worth dating

What's so maybe about
What's so maybe about
What's so maybe about Katie?

I don't know
What the fuss is all about
Just take it slow
It's not like you can't live without her
To and fro if you've got a shred of doubt
Then it's not worth it

What's so maybe about
What's so maybe about
What's so maybe about Katie?

Can't you see her with her arms wide open?
She's everything that you've been hoping for
Forever's not so long, stop moping
She's got a daughter and you're just not coping

Do you know everyone you ever swore you'd love for life?
I don't know them anymore
I know their names, I'd recognize them on the street
And I don't love them

What's so maybe about
What's so maybe about
What's so maybe about Katie?

This is about someone who is having reservations about starting a relationship with a woman because she has a kid and he's a little worried about that.

He's worried about the fact that if he gets involved with a woman who has a kid it will have to be long term. He's going to have to take responsibility for a kid and become a dad.

He thinks it's not worth trying. Pretty much every line in the song is a counter argument to a reason someone would give why they shouldn't date an older woman with a child:

"Do you know everyone you ever swore you'd love for life I don't know them anymore I know their names I'd recognize them on the street and I don't love them"

It is saying that, sure, this woman MAY have said that she loved someone and may have been ready to settle down with them, but you shouldn't think she is a slut or there is something wrong with her. People break up with each other and move on. That's what Katie has done.

But also, you don't have to think of it as a huge responsibility or a big deal. Just take it slowly, get to know her gradually, and if things work out then the kid shouldn't matter. The song also gives the advice that if you really don't think she is the one for you, then don't bother, but you should at least give it a try.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
