There you go
You're always so right
It's all a big show
It's all about you

You think you know
What everyone needs
You always take time
To criticize me

It seems like everyday
I make mistakes
I just can't get it right

It's like I'm the one
You love to hate
But not today

So shut up, shut up, shut up
Don't wanna hear it
Get out, get out, get out
Get out of my way
Step up, step up, step up
You'll never stop me
Nothing you say today
Is gonna bring me down

There you go
You never ask why
It's all a big lie
Whatever you do

You think you're special
But I know, and I know
And I know, and we know
That you're not

You're always there to point
Out my mistakes
And shove them in my face

It's like I'm the one
You love to hate
But not today

So shut up, shut up, shut up
Don't wanna hear it
Get out, get out, get out
Get out of my way
Step up, step up, step up
You'll never stop me
Nothing you say today
Is gonna bring me down

Is gonna bring me down

Will never bring me down

Don't tell me who I should be
And don't try to tell me what's right for me
Don't tell me what I should do
I don't wanna waste my time
I'll watch you fade away

So shut up, shut up, shut up
Don't wanna hear it
Get out, get out, get out
Get out of my way
Step up, step up, step up
You'll never stop me
Nothing you say today
Is gonna bring me down

So shut up, shut up, shut up
Don't wanna hear it
Get out, get out, get out
Get out of my way
Step up, step up, step up
You'll never stop me
Nothing you say today
Is gonna bring me down

Bring me down
(Shut up, shut up, shut up)
Won't bring me down
(Shut up, shut up, shut up)
Bring me down
(Shut up, shut up, shut up)
Won't bring me down

Shut up, shut up, shut up

when i saw them in concert last week this song was amazing. David said to think about how angry we are with Bush during the song.

yeah a simple plan must really hate Bush. they must have any idea about politics. the only thing wrong with Bush is that he hasnt yet outlawed MTV. then maybe all you little boys and girls would be forced to think for yourselves instead of buying whatever the fuck TRL says you should buy. and being "angry" at whoever some popstar tells you to be angry at.

Actually, no one buys what TRL says, they buy what they want to. I'm not 'angry' at Bush and this song in no way reminds me of him.

Me and my friend picked songs off their new CD that described us, and I picked this one. Its about telling people to just shut up. They think they are better than you, and try to bring you down. It also tells you, not to let them bring you down and to tell them to shut up and go take their stuck up selves elseware. Totally describes me =D

atthedrive-in: and what the hell are saying that you are thinking for yourself? And I can tell you a thousand things wrong with Mr. Bush. He's against abortion and homosexuals for example... and the biggest mistake of all...the war in Iraq. Don't tell me that wasn't wrong. I mean even Bush has realized that was a big mistake (even if he's not man enough to admit it) and he's not very smart...

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
