"Over At The Frankenstein Place" as written by and Richard O'brien....
In the velvet darkness,
Of the blackest night,
Burning bright,
There's a guiding star
No matter what or who you are

There's a light
Over at the Frankenstein place
There's a light
Burning in the fireplace

There's a light, light
In the darkness of everybody's life

The darkness must go down the river of night's dreaming
Flow morphia slow, let the sun and light come streaming
Into my life
Into my life

There's a light
Over at the Frankenstein place

There's a light
Burning in the fireplace
There's a light, a light
In the darkness of everybody's life

General Commentone of the few alk3 songs without comments. devestating. ;)

even though this is a cover of a Rocky Horror Picture Show song, they have done it complete justice, and some, with their version. I am a huge RHPS fan, as well as an involved alk3 fan - this song has a tendency to tear me both ways.

it's from the section in the movie where brad and janet have just been stranded with a flat tire and are walking through the rain on a dark night to the only house within miles - the "franenstein" place as they refer to it. they're stranded (darkness) but their close to what they hope will be help (light).

General CommentI know Alk3 didn't write this song, but it seems almost along the same lines as Hell Yes, where he abandons the "light side" and sides with evil.

    "In the velvet darkness,
    Of the blackest night,
    Burning bright,
    There's a guiding star.
No matter what or who you are.

    Similar type of thought.

General CommentI am not sure what this song is about, and I know that Alkaline Trio did a cover of it (obviously), but I really like the sound.
It makes me feel light and jolly when I hear it, haha, as dumb as that sounds.
But "there's a light" just sounds so cool when I hear it. :):)
