"Eye On You" as written by and Billy Squier....
I watch you on the tv--youre with me every place I go
Im caught up in the daydream--im into everyone you know
Turn on the action--grab every minute
Learn every lesson--then live to regret it
Im so distracted--my minds disengaged
Sharin the moments when youre all the rage

I got my eyes on you
Got my eye on you...

Those overnight conditions always get the best of you
Youre fuelin my suspicions--im taken by the sneak preview
You got the numbers--you got no limits
One day youre out but the next day youre in it
You find the answers--you know what to say
Give us our reasons for livin today

I got my eyes on you
Got my eye on you...

We share the laughter and pain when youre in it
Bring on disaster--cause we know youll win it
Were all believers--so watch what you say
Turn on those feelins...i cant look away

I got my eyes on you
Got my eye on you

General CommentI think that this song is about George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-Four. "I watch you on your TV" is similar to the telescreens that exist in their world. "Sharing the moments when you're all in rage" could be two minutes hate. Winston is fueling O'Brien's suspicion for not reacting during two minutes hate.
