"The Equaliser" as written by Adrian Blackburn, Jonathan Hartley, Brian Campbell and Carl Turney....
Want to, want to put you together
Want to more and more
Want to, want to put you together
Want to more and more
Want to with the biggest smile
Peeking out of either eye
Come and come and look we're on a roll

Are you an acceptable host?
Are you an acceptable host?
Are you an acceptable host?
All for the best and the best then we left so

Have to, have to, put this together
Have to more and more
Have to, have to, put this together
Have to more and more
Have to with biggest smile
Peeking out of either eye
Come and come and look we're on a roll

Are you an acceptable host?
Are you an acceptable host?
Are you an acceptable host?
All for the best and the best then we left so

Want to, want to put it to bed
Want to more and more
Want to, want to put it to bed
Want to more and more
Want to with the biggest smile
Peeking out of either eye
Come and come and look we're on a roll

Are you an acceptable host?
Are you an acceptable host?
Are you an acceptable host?
All for the best and the best then we left so

General Commentwow this song gets me everytime. it's really great but it's hard to figure out what it's about. i think that mainly it's about someone wanting to get to know someone better and figure them out. when they're saying "want to with the biggest smile peeking out of either eye come and come and look we're on a roll" i think that's saying how they're talking to this person and learning more about them and they really like this person (hence them both smiling and looking into each other's eyes) and yeah. i dunno. that or drugs, the most common answer to the meaning of a song. hmm now that i think about it..

so they're taking a drug and they're waiting for it to kick in and see what's gonna come out of it. and they want the drug to do what it usually does, make them laugh and see things differently. then when they ask "are you an acceptable host?" they could be asking if it's really potent or gonna be good or whatever. then the "all for the best..." line could mean they did the drug, had fun, then left..or went to sleep. same thing over and over..oh and the "...we're on a roll" part could mean that they've been doing the drug a lot and each time had a good trip or whatever. so there ya go, two possible meanings that are completely different. ah, the beauty of music.

General CommentSo cool... so fun to dance to
Can one call Clinic techno? Because this song sounds like Radioheads "Idioteque", but slower.

General CommentThirteen is an amazing movie. Interesting soundtrack.
This is a great song, anyway.. for the meaning. I think it's about someone wanting to corrupt someone whom they want to get to know but they think the only way this will happen is if they are on equal grounds. They could both be shy people, but the only way to feel comfortable around each other is to be somewhat intoxicated. Does that make sense? The singer's voice sounds really evil and mischievious... he has a plan and he wants it to put it to action.
