Maybe I'm just living out the same old stories in and out
But you know that don't make it easier
Time will fly away with me if truth won't stop and let me see
And tell me I am to believe that you and I should never be again
I'm drowning
When the one you leave is the one thing you believe
You say goodbye when underneath’s your one belief
That love rules all, conquers all

It’s funny how the times that seem unbearable
Are the ones that you don't ever want to end
And when your childhood slips away
You find you face a brand new day
And you know it can't be the same again

'Cause when you leaved you stayed in my memory
I’m saying goodbye for now and have a drink for us
And good luck and find your way

Clawing out will sometimes seem so far away
Never knowing if I'll live to see another day
Never seem to find out what to do
No one seems to tell you
'Cause you're drowning

When the one you leave is the one thing you believe
You say goodbye when underneath’s your one belief
That love rules all, conquers all
That love rules all, it conquers all

I agree that its about a break up. That no matter how much she loves him and how infatuated she is with him, she knows it will just never be the same again. May the term 'Drowning' refers to the tears she's shed over the truth.

You can get the song on Limewire (limewire.com)...its not on her website coz she actually hasn't officially recorded it. The version is live...but its good quality and theres no sceaming crowd when shes singing it.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
