i am the dry meat that fills the mouth
i am the fire that burns without wood
i am evil forest, kill a man on the day that his life seems sweetest to him

i did not come to play hand ball
i did not come to play hand ball

General CommentPretty crazy coincidence. I was in the middle of reading "Things Fall Apart" by Chinua Achebe, and I heard this song. He's basically just quoting what the Evil Forest spirit says in the book, although I'm not sure what the "I did not come to play hand ball" thing is about, but maybe it comes up later on in the book.

General CommentThis seems to be about someone/something saying "I am motherfucking serious!".

General CommentIn the book "The Executioner's Song", when a man is facing life in prison for murder, he writes a note to the girl he loved and wonders what if he should hope for the death penalty, as the alternatives in jail seem silly or unappealing. One alternative to what else he might do besides receive death is "Play handball?" Don't know if it applies, but I thought of it the minute I read that sentence
