What do you think your country needs
When she calls on the youth of today
it means she wants you to fight for her
a reason to blow us away
you may think we are the important ones
new faces to run this place
our leaders don't think we're worth too much
the fact of the matter is...

Tomorrow Belongs To Us

What do you think your leaders mean
destroying the world of today
it means that they don't really give a damn
all they care about is their greed
spending money on bombs and guns
more than on the human race
but who are the ones that will have to pay
disease and starvation they create

Tomorrow Belongs To Us

-Turn on the tv and the news says
-America is doing okay
-ok for the doctors and lawyers
-city officials and our president
-someone forgot to take a survey
-of the real working men
-the ones on the unemployment line
-getting laid off in every state

Tomorrow Belongs To Us

What do you think they'll leave to us
a waste land of death and decay
it seems that tomorrow is looking gray
no future for the youth of today
if you think thy give a damn
better wake up from your dream
they leave us a world of famine
the fact of the matter is...

Tomorrow Belongs To Us

This is an awesome song, one of my favourite casualties songs..... this song has a awesome theme, and a powerful message- ie. wake up and look around and see how fucked our world is... see how much devastation previous generations and rulers have brought to this earth, and look foward to the future, to a time when we have control, a time when we call the shots and we can try to make things better for all.... or at least thats what i got outta it...

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Page

There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
