"Jenny Place Your Bets" as written by and Alex Trevor James....
So Jenny place your bets now
If you've got something
Your face says a full house
But I think you're bluffing
It's hard when you know how
To play this game with precision
I think I should go now
It doesn't look like I'm winning

And you starve me
Until I start to lose control
And I could finish my plate
But you're just serving me spoonfuls

So Jenny place your bets now
If you've got something
But don't hold your breath girl
'Cause I've got a feeling
Because when I start losing
Is when I start cheating

And I work hard
To stay in this unending game
And when you finally show your cards
You'll be the only one who's playing

So Jenny place your bets now
If you feel something
'Cause I'm on the bus downtown
And I can't feel nothing

General CommentThis seems to me to be a weaker set of lyrics but none the less captivating. He has a way of developing music in a way that draws you into a trance and you become his lyrics and his subject from his words originate. flawless artist/poet
