rows of condos
and birds as helicopters
i had a headache when you left
give up something
and it's luke warm blood
telephones have eyes to tip out feelings to
to dropping off like guns and flies

take her down to the river
and she would step
right over the water
and if you take a walk down today
she would drag you
straight down to the bottom

full of visuals
and half-wit harlequins
it's full of smiles and laughter
we'll weed them like dandelions
and your arms are like batteries
and you arms are chandeliers
bought a ticket to the picture show
to ripdown feelings
move these walls inside myself
i lost my car keys underneath
the palm trees and city lights
avert my eyes to move northwest
we're dropping off like guns and flies

this is a poem
a combination of a sentence
broken up to form a rhythm
you are a poem
little pieces of my senses
broken up to form an image

take her down to the river
she would step
right over the water
and if you take him on down
to that goddamn river
he would drag you
straight down to the bottom

Bear vs. Shark just broke up last month which sucks. However, in their honor I have been giving them more and more listening. This song is outstanding.

    "This is a poem"
Says it all for me. This song has an almost indescrenable meaning. Maybe about beauty and perfection vs. violent unstability. I have no idea.

General Commentgood call on I Punch's part... I see the perfection aspect..... he seems to be saying shes magical, shes awesome, but she'll be the death of you as well.... took a trip to the beach, the beauty of everything, and the beautiful feeling..... perhaps a theme of getting to caught up in the beauty....

General CommentWell I just got acquainted with Bear vs. Shark and I'm listening a lot to their first album at the moment. I know it's a bit lame but for me the opener "Ma Jolie" deals with infidelity :)
Someone fell in love with a woman who has a boyfriend or something and they are having an affair. She's like his goddess ("she would step right over the water") but there's also the threat of being discovered by her boyfriend all the time. That's why "telephones have eyes" and "birds as helicopters"... Whatever it means, the song is absolutely amazing.

General CommentI like the thought above on "telephones have eyes". Maybe there's a bit of paranoia (sp?) as to getting caught. I'm not sure.
    But I love the lines
    "you are a poem
    little pieces of my senses
broken up to form an image"

It's an excellent way to describe someone who means a lot to you.
