"Waiting" as written by Vince Di Fiore and John M Mc Crea....
So we think that we're important
And we think that we make sense
And we think there's something better on the other side of this fence
And you can soak your bread in gravy
You can soak your bread in soup
But the car that you are driving doesn't really belong to you
So you know you'll always be waiting
Always be waiting
For someone else to call
Yeah you know you'll always be waiting
Always be waiting
I say always be waiting

And you can soak your bread in water
You can soak your bread in wine
It can seem like you are living like you're having a real good time
And you can do it to your conscience
You can do it all the time
You can do it with a vengeance in the morning after nine
But you know you'll always be waiting
Always be waiting for someone else to call
Yeah you know you'll always be waiting
Always be waiting
I say always be waiting
I say always be waiting

General Commentthis and dime have that electric atari-like sound which makes the songs a helluva lot better. That sound is in the right channel.

General CommentI think this song means that these two people are together and the one person knows that the other person isn't interested in him/her anymore so he/she's saying that their partner is waiting for someone else

General CommentThe bread bit seems to me like no matter what you do to your bread the truth will still be the truth. Can anyone put that in better words??

My InterpretationIt's morbid, but you'll always be waiting for the afterlife, which is probably why an organ and church bells play during the chorus. It doesn't matter what you soak your bread in because you're just passing the time.

Although I'm not sure if this part refers to the waiting or the pretending, "you can do it all the time" because you literally spend your life waiting for it to end. On the other hand, faking a good time at work in the morning paints a completely different image than vengefully waiting to die.

    ...Or does it?
