"Moskau" as written by Oliver Riedel, Doktor Christian Lorenz, Christoph Doom Schneider, Richard Z. Kruspe, Paul Landers and Till Lindemann....
Eta pesna o samom prekrasnom gorode v mire MOSKVA

Diese Stadt ist eine Dirne,
Hat rote Flecken auf der Stirn'
Ihre Zähne sind aus Gold,
Sie ist fett und doch so hold
Ihr Mund fällt mir zu Tale,
Wenn ich sie dafür bezahle
Sie zieht sich aus,
Doch nur für Geld
Die Stadt die mich in Atem hält

MOSKAU!,
(Raz dva tri)
MOSKAU!,
(Posmotri)
(Pioneri tam idut, Pesni Leninu poyut)

MOSKAU,
(Raz dva tri)
MOSKAU,
(Posmotri)
(Pioneri tam idut, pesni Leninu poyut)

MOSKAU,
(Raz dva tri)
MOSKAU,
(Posmotri)
(Pioneri tam idut, pesni Leninu poyut)

Raz dva tri

Ich sehe was, was du nicht siehst
(Kogda ti nochyu krepko spish)

Ich sehe was, was du nicht siehst
(Kogda ti predo mnoy legish)

Ich sehe was, was du nicht siehst
(Kogda so mnoyu govorish)

Ich sehe was, das siehst du nie

Raz dva tri

MOSKAU,
(Raz dva tri)
MOSKAU,
(Posmotri)
(Pioneri tam idut, pesni Leninu poyut)

MOSKAU,
(Raz dva tri)
MOSKAU,
(Posmotri)
(Pioneri tam idyt, pesni Leninu poyut)

MOSKAU,
(Raz dva tri)
MOSKAU,
(Posmotri)
(Pioneri tam idut, pesni Leninu poyut)

MOSKAU,
(Raz dva tri)
MOSKAU,
(Posmotri)
(Pioneri tam idut, pesni Leninu poyut - MOSKVA!)

General CommentThis song is about the adventure of Russia from communism to typical capitalism.

He thinks of Russia as a beautiful sophisticated woman that has sold out and become a whore for money, like in capitalism everything is paid for, and though still maintains sophistication from her old communist times, she now has to be paid for the love that used to exist and now is remodeling (as said in the song her breasts). Still reminisces her beautiful old communist times, but now has become a regular capitalist whore trying to catch up...

It sounds pretty clear to me, though then again, Rammstein allows their listeners to make their own interpretations

General Comment"It's about Russia escaping the stigma of Communism, I agree with that."

No it's not. If anything it's about the downfall of Russia since the collapse of Communism and the USSR due to the abrupt, haphazard manner in which it took place and corruption (those that held positions of power taking advantage of the situation to line their own pockets). Not that's it's endorsing Communism either.

General CommentEs bedeutet eher, denke ich, dass Moskau als Stadt eine Hure ist, das heisst sie ist korrupt.

Jaeger and TheBaron, can you please continue your fight elsewhere? This is not the right place, this site is about SONGS.

    Thank you.

General CommentMy German is a bit shoddy, I was always more interested in the Slavic tongues... But can anyone clarify the actual meaning of the song? Is Till just writing a song expressing that he hates Moscow for some reason or other?

It's a nice city, by the way. The "Paris of the East".

General CommentI don't understand why the above called Moscow the whore city. Sure i've never been there, but what right do you have to judge the place?
