"Say Goodbye" as written by and Hyun Do/peter Lee....
The tenth day before I left
Everything was just fine
She must have waited to cave in
On that day nine
This severely effected the eighth and seventh night
But that still didn't make me feel like the time was right
To say goodbye

Say goodbye to you my friend
Say goodbye

Ten, nine, eight, seven
Sixth day before I left
We pretended things were fine
Even though the ninth day cave was acting as both our minds
Fifth day and counting
Well she found it astounding
When I told her I didn't want to miss her while she was in my surroundings
The fourth day was new with her
Same question asked again
Once you're gone how long 'til I get my depth perception back again?
At that I had the same flabbergasted face for most of the third and second
Days
The final day before I left came and I still had nothing to say

The fifth day after I had left I was trying to adjust and she came
The sixth day she was stuck looking for sparks but couldn't see the flame
The seventh day I fell asleep in the fire that we had made
She woke me up and I said goodbye and we were never the same

Attraction a distraction
A fraction in a lifetime of satisfaction
Take action or back off

General CommentAmazing song and band, and agreeing with itsmyisland, too bad not many people have heard of them and now they got this new sound and changing and I really miss this kinda stuff from them!

as for the meaning, I think it's about a relationship and possibly going long distance, like you move a few hours away and it gets weird when you see each other. and I agree with Incy, it needs the extended ending to get the point across wholly, the music explains what he just sang about.

General CommentIs it just me or is the ending to this song dragged out a little too much... was it just a way for the band to add for minutes to there album?

General Commentthere is a reason that some songs kinda of have a long ending. this one is a almost perfect example. the song itself is a somewhat depressing song, having to say goodbye to a friend, possibly girlfriend. (i think its cause he had to leave for the military after watching the video for "time and time again", and relating it to the way i feel cause ill be leaving for the military myself but hey maybe its just me.) because it is a somewhat sad song the ending has meanin to make it mellow and strung out not in a bad way but as to not just end it abruptly. the song wouldnt nearly be the same and feel the same if the song did just end. the unique sound at the end brings the song to a true end, a end with true feeling.

again.. maybe its just me, eh?

General CommentThe time and time again video did was not reflecting the bands current life. None of them went into the military to Iraq. Although they are against what is going on that was just their possition on the current events.

But I think this just tells the story of the last days that two people spend together before they know one will be leaving a long distance for an unkown time. Each side wants to act like everything will be fine, until the leaving date comes close. That is when they realize it is all going to be much harder and complicated then they hoped. Then after the one person leaves, it is realized that it really can not realistically work out, and it is time to end it.
