"Low Life" as written by Keith Levene, John Wardle, John Lydon and James Walker....
Ego-maniac traitor
You never did understand
You fell in love with your ego
It did not fit into plan

Low Life
Your alter-ego is a moron
30 years too late
No closet is private
Can see the crack in your face

Low Life
Bourgeois Anarchist
I read you despise us
Always hurt the one you love
Shit in a drain

Low Life
Ego-maniac traitor
You are a fool to yourself
You lie to be distant
Ignorant selfish

Low Life
Low Life
Ego-maniac traitor
You never did understand
You fell in love with your ego
It did not fit into plan

Low Life
Your alter-ego is a moron
30 years too late
No closet is private
See the crack in your face

Low Life
Bourgeois Anarchist
I read you despise us
Always hurt the one you love
You shit your brain

General CommentI can't see how this could be directed at anyone other than Malcolm MacLaren. Especially: "Bourgeois Anarchist."

General CommentThe single "Public Image" was widely seen as being about Malcolm McLaren and his "so-called" manipulation of Lydon/Rotten during his career with the Sex Pistols. It was supposedly written before the Pistols broke up. The track "Low Life" (with its accusatory lyrics of "Egomaniac traitor", "You fell in love with your ego" and "Bourgeoisie anarchist") has also been seen as an attack on McLaren, although Lydon has specifically stated that those lyrics refer to Sid Vicious.
