"Mountain" as written by Benji Madden, Joel Madden and William George Martin Iii....
All these dreams and all these plans
I built them all with these two hands
Everything I've realized my dreams
City lights shine down and they blind me sometimes
And through it all I was lost but I found my way

Tell me what you want
'Cause I will give you everything
Tell me what you need
And I'll go get it
I'd give up all these dreams to have you in my arms right now
I'd give up everything and I'd forget it I wasn't on a mountain

When it came to me
All my life's been wasted
Chasing shallow dreams
So here we are
Let me lift you up and show this world over me

All these things that I've gained and what I've seen,
It can't compare is not the same
To the love you could give to me

Tell me what you want
'Cause I will give you anything
Tell me what you need
And I'll go get it
I'd give up all these dreams to have you in my arms right now
I'd give up everything and I'd forget it I wasn't on a mountain

When I came to me
All my life's been wasted
Chasing shallow dreams
Years go by
And nothing's slowing down the time
Years go by
And then they're wasted
All this time I thought that I gained everything
If you are not mine I'm so empty I wasn't on a mountain

When it came to me
All my life's been wasted
Chasing shallow dreams

General CommentHm. Benji says this song is about their fans and how they'd be nothing if it weren't for them.

But I don't quite understand the "I'd give up all these dreams to have you in my arms right now" part.

General CommentPersonally, I think this song is a love song, especially because of the chorus (how it talks about giving everything up just to be with someone). But the only thing I don't understand is when it says "i wasn't on a mountain when it came to me". Exactly what does that mean?

General CommentTo "neonlovechick", I believe the line "i wasn't on a mountain when it came to me" is a way of saying they started from the bottom, and inspiration came from their own lives as they lived them, rather than sitting on a mountain contemplating lifes issues.

They are saying their songs come from around them and what they've been through.

To "oleander", i'm pretty sure "I'd give up all these dreams to have you in my arms right now" is them saying, although they are a famous band and they have, allegedly, everything, they would give up all the fame if it meant they could be with the one they love.

General CommentOH MY GOD DID YOU GUYS HEAR THE NEWS!??!

GOOD CHARLETTE DIED IN A PLANE CRASH JUST 1 HOUR AGO. REPORTS AT THE CRASH SCENE SAID THEY WERE HAVING A MASSIVE GAY-ORGY WHEN ONE OF THEM INADVERTANTLY HIT HIS DICK AGAINST THE CONTROL STICK AND THEY SPIRALED INTO A HOUSE. REPORTS SAY THE HOUSE WAS FILLED BY MEMBERS OF SUM 41 WHO WERE ALSO ENGAGED IN GAY INTERCOURSE.
