I break hearts like the west was won
(They call me the rattlesnake)
I'm hung like an outlaw, baby
(Like an outlaw, baby)
Play poker all day at the saloon
(You cheating bastard)
I'll have you in the saddle soon

We won't back down
(Bang bang guns go bang)
From a fight
(Bang bang guns go bang)
90 paces west
(Bang bang guns go bang)
At noon we draw to death

There was a man from way back west
(Desperado ain't got shit on me)
Who took twelve rounds straight to the chest
At night the town stays awake
(With their eyes wide open)
In terror of the rattlesnake

I bite it but I don't light it
(This town ain't big enough for the both of us)
I'll use the rope and I'll ride her
Two barrels and a whole lot of bang
And when I'm done with it
This town will never be the same

Can I touch your legs?
Do I make you sweat?

come on dont just shrug me off, please. apparently, according to a friend of mine, i dont "get" the funnyness because im "not a girl." and this made me realize that this whole band just seems to be aimed at making 14 year old girls cream their pants. look at their image. everytime i mention this band to a girl who likes them, they always talk about how HAWT they are. what if they were ugly as hell and dressed like retarded fifth graders all the time and had no sense of fashion at all? would you all still listen to them? its a big manipulative trick, and you're all falling for it. not to mention his voice also happens to be very whiny when he sings. the music (especially in this song) is kind of cool and unique, but the vocals and their massive sex appeal and manipulation and cliches and everything turn me off of this band. they seem like theyre not terrible people, but i don't like them at all. to each his own. dont hate me for my opinion, please.

i agree with jonbash: fftl has definitely created themselves an image, just like heaps of bands out there. It kinda detracts from their credibility...Post-hardcore bands are the new boy-bands they get the same hype, and screaming, horny fangirls. Although i like the sound of this song, i really cant see it any differently to anything by britney spears.

jonbash, i see where you're coming from. it does seem like most of the time when you talk to someone about From First To Last, instead of talking about the actual music they start going on about how incredibly sexy sonny is. but you do have to realize, not all the fans are like that. i didn't get into FFTL by seeing a picture of them. in fact, i didn't know what they looked like until after i'd heard plenty of their songs and i'd bought Dear Diary. frankly, i didn't care who they were, just as long as they kept making good music. i still think that way. and i do agree with you that this song is very sexual, but its not meant to be taken seriously. it really is, in my opinion, just a very sarcastic song that was probably written to make fun of how the music industry has become so centered around appearance. one thing that you said that i'm curious about, though, is that they seem like they intentionally wear clothes to make them seem sexy. i really don't see that in them. at least not all the time. granted, sonny does own a couple pairs of jeans that are far too tight to be even remoltely comfortable, but most of the time they just wear jeans and hoodies or random t-shirts. its only in the photoshoots where they really have no control over what they're wearing that they consistently have on tight jeans and tight shirts. take a look at some fan photos of them or stuff from concerts, you don't see them dressed that way very often. please know that i'm not angry with you for sharing your opinion and i hope this post didn't come across as rude because it was most certainly not meant to be. i would really appreciate it if you respond to this, though. thank you

well youll be surprised, but i dont think of it in that way. like when you first hear it, its like ok awesome song. then after a few times moreso by the end, youll be like ohh ok. but like seriously, stfu. i mean like i love fftl. but if you think "all of their songs give yo uthat 'vibe'" then youve lost it. and anyway, the people in this band, dareisay, arent that "hot". sonny moore is only semi cute. and he really actually SUCKS at singing. i mean w.out a band, hes got no voice. if you ever listened to mora by sonny moore... yeahh... and not all of their songs are like that... i meann ride the wings of pestilence. if you get a mother fucking sexual vibe from THAT song of all of them, you have lost your friggen mind. i have every right to voice my opinion. so any considerations toward what IVE said, save your breath at yelling at me cause i couldnt really give two shits about your opinion on mine.

From First To Last are finally serving up what "emo" needs.

HUMOUR. For once, a band of the genre that doesn't require you to be mad at your girlfriend to enjoy the lyrics.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
