"Seven Years (acoustic)" as written by and Lee Alexander....
Taking on seven years the holy ghost had left alone
Test my arms, kick like crazy
And I've been trying way to long
Only if he could push his way off to fight you
I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm not sure
Getting off my chest
The story ends

I would find a way without you
(Tell him his eyes see too clear)
That mistake was gold
I know that without you
Its something that I could never do
That was why staple the eyes and
Seven dates for me to sell machines
And tear on

Seven years you assured me
That Id be fine if I complied
Only push the way off to fight you
I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm not sure
Getting my chest the story now ends
I would find a way without you
(Tell him his eyes see too clear)

Don't treat me I'm to blame
Don't treat me like I ever accused you

General CommentI think the song is about fighting for something that isnt ment to be. Both versions are awesome but i like the singers unique voice so i lean more toward the acoustic which show that off.

General CommentI like their acoustic songs......

He spent seven years trying to follow Jesus and failing.
he's sorry he's not sure he believes.
this song is getting all this stuff off his chest, and that's the last time he'll think about it.... the story ends

He'll find a way through life wihtout jesus
I think the "mistake" was his crucifying

selling machines.... machines are like institutions of culture

    The ending..............

Don't treat me I'm to blame
Don't treat me like i ever accused you

It sounds like "don't treat me like I'm to blame," but he knows he is to blame, so he just says "I'm to blame"

Don't treat him like he ever accused Jesus of... something.... lol I am not going to use any more imagination here... I am not positive this is the right interp, but what's up with "the holy ghost had left alone" it's gotta be a religious song :)

General CommentThe great thing about the acoustic version of this song, is the way the line "The story ends/without you" plays out, but doesn't go that way in the regular version. Purposeful or not, it's really cool.
