"Into the Night" as written by and Chad Kroeger....
Tonight we'll start a fire
You know we'll let it burn
Somehow we'll over come it
I'll never know
I can't stop thinking about it
It's eating away inside
Believe me when I tell you
It's mine
You now know
I decided long ago
I was gonna be with you
But into the night we both will go
And find our own way

A thousand lights above us
We're gonna let them shine
What comes first tomorrow
Or maybe the next life
'cause you live for the weekend
And I live forever
And you say you don't need it
I don't know
You don't know
I decided long ago
I was gonna be with you
But into the night we both will go
And find our own way

I decided long ago
I was gonna be with you
But into the night we both will go
And find our own way
Do you know
Do you know
Whoa woe

Do you know
Do you know
Whoa woe
I'm taking my things
Leaving behind
All of the pain you've caused me
And I never want you
Back in my life
Back in my life
In my life
I can't stop thinking about it
It's eating away inside
Believe me when I tell you
It's mine
You now know
I decided long ago
I was gonna be with you
But into the night we both will go
And find our own way
I decided long ago
I was gonna be with you
But into the night we both will go
And find our own way

Yeah, we will find our own way

Do you know
Do you know
Whoa woe

General Commentthis song is pretty nice, when i hear it it reminds of good and bad love all at once, i think thats what its getting at.. "I decided long ago, I was gonna be with you" and then "All of the pain you've caused me, And I never want you" but my favourite lyric is "you live for the weekend and i live forever" i dunno why i think its nice.. but like any music song i think what moves you most in this is his vocals and its the riffs all over the place, makes you just wanna jump off your seat and dance your heart out... this is what the music have the no one else do, this is why there soo good!

General CommentLove this song, love the band. It's obviously about a break-up, two people going their seperate ways after a long relationship. It's a celebration, it seems - it doesn't eulogise about the relationship, it's optimistic about the future.
I like the line, "You live for the weekend/ And I live forever", too - it's about how the two people are inherently differently, and I tend to come down on the side of the singer.
Great song, The Music deserve more recognition!
