Wake up
My love
Never thought you'd make me, break me
Now I'm up from below
Such a brilliant star you are
And will your love keep burning baby
Burn a hole right through my eyes
All these short times feel like no time
I thought you ought to know
I'm so far gone now I been running on empty
I'm so far gone now
Do you want to take me on?

Do, Do you, Do you know?
Do you know how long I've waited?
To look up from below,
Just to find someone like you?
And will your love like burn me, baby?
Burn a hole right through my heart
I think I might just trust you, maybe
But I'm not sure
I'm not sure I want to know

I'm so far gone now I been running on empty
I'm so far gone now
Do you want to take me on?

Whoa Whoa Whoa Whoa
I think you could make me girl
Could make me take my life
I know you can break me girl
Take all of me
All of me, yeah hey

Wake up
My love
Never thought you'd make me, break me
Now I'm up from below
Such a brilliant star you are

This is the best song on the CD. But I don't know what it means, and I really don't care, it's just so poppy and happy. The way he annunicates the words when he repeats the first verse is great, and the way the says "do you want to take me on?" and smiles ends up making me smile.

This song is so amazing. I can't stop listening to it. I think it's about him finding someone new and starting to trust them but not being so sure about himself or the significant other.

yea i think your right but i think it could also mean he has been emotionally drained by relationships that he is almost questioning the fact of weather she is worthy enough to talk to the one and only bert.. but anywho i think the song reminds me of 'the nightmare before christmas..' and i can totally see all the album art danceing around with that skinny dude from the nightmare before christmas.. its an amazing song.. but not poppy, i see it more as another artistic look on music..

I love how he sings, "all of me, yeah, hey!" It shows how his vocal range has matured and he is learning how to use it more (as he kinda said as a joke in the documentary video on the website when he is explaining his process on how he warms up). This song is about being drained and he is on the boderline of becoming crazy.

its about him worrying he is too far gong to be loved... and that he is on the fringe of lunacy as the title so avidly suggests :P...

i just love this song. every song on the cd rocks as well. but if any other band tried to pull off a song like this...with those types of sounds. it would suck. enough said.

I was a live concert and right before Bert started singing he said "This is a song about sex". This is one of my favorite songs. Bert RULES!

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
