"The Model" as written by Christopher Henry Difford and Glenn Martin Tilbrook....
She's a model and she's looking good
I'd like to take her home that's understood
She plays hard to get, she smiles from time to time
It only takes a camera to change her mind

She's going out tonight, loves drinking just champagne
And she has been checking nearly all the men
She's playing her game and you can hear them say
She is looking good, for beauty we will pay

She's posing for consumer products now and then
For every camera she gives the best she can
I saw her on the cover of a magazine
Now she's a big success, I want to meet her again

General CommentIts about turning tricks and selling your ethics to advance in a superficial career

"She plays hard to get, she smiles from time to time
It only takes a camera to change her mind"

Shes aware and observant of the important men that can get her where she needs to be

"And she has been checking nearly all the men
She's playing her game and you can hear them say
She is looking good, for beauty we will pay"

and despite the fact that shes a whore it doesnt seem to matter anymore, because:

"She's posing for consumer products now and then
For every camera she gives the best she can
I saw her on the cover of a magazine"

and even though she whored her way to the top, it doesnt matter because:

"Now she's a big success, I want to meet her again"

cheers to her, she checked her ethics at the door and made it to the top,

General CommentRalf Hutter has written this song when he fell in love with a model. But she didn't want him.

General CommentFirst of all: these lyrics are completely wrong.
This is the right version: She's a model and she's looking good
I'd like to take her home that's understood
She plays hard to get, she smiles from time to time
It only takes a camera to change her mind

She's going out tonight but drinking just champagne
And she has been checking nearly all the men
She's playing her game and you can hear them say
She is looking good, for beauty we will pay

She's posing for consumer products now and then
For every camera she gives the best she can
I saw her on the cover of a magazine
Now she's a big success, I want to meet her again

I think it's about how people are obsessed with beauty ("She's looking good for beaty we will pay") and success ("Now she's a big success I want to meet her again").

General Commentfirst of all i must say this song means a whole lot to me. it really got me though some hard times.
to me its mostly about french transexuals in mid 20's and how they invented the taco.
