"Tensioning" as written by and Jim/hajjar Ward....
Piece this together
And it's always a fight
This puzzles intact
And you're always right
The sky could fall
The bliss of beginning replaced with an end
The sky could fall
It's always the same

And it ends
From a scream to a whisper
Can you free me from these words and let me forget?
Can you free me from this world and help me forget?

Tensioning trouble
We're condemned to repeat
From covered-up lies
What is all out of reach
The sky could fall
The bliss of beginning replaced with an end
It's always the same
I can't be right this time
It's all in my head
You can't be wrong this time
It's all in your head

General CommentIm the first one to comment on this amazing song...im not sure what it is about but im going to try and give a guess at it, im probably going to be wrong but owell...ok.....about fighting in a relationship..."piece this togehter and its always a fight, this puzzles in tact and youre always right".....the puzzle being the relation ship, and the woman always being right, and if the sky could fall it would always be the same.
"And it ends, from a scream to a whisper, can u free me from these words and let me forget....." i think that is the fight ending and jim being sorry for starting it becuase the woman is always right.

General CommentYeah, I agree, its about the disentegration of a relationship. I don't think the lyrics are anything special, but the music is great, its all in the way they're sung...

    General CommentAnd it ends
From a scream to a whisper
Can you free me from these words and let me forget
Can you free me from this world and help me forget

thats my fav part...its fits the music well...both so descriptive and both paint a deeper visual meaning.

General CommentI agree with the realtionship aspect.

    piece this together
    and it's always a fight
    this puzzles intact
    and you're always right
(it's a puzzle to him that when they get together it's always a fight. now they're together fighting and she's always "right")

    The sky could fall
the bliss of beginnning replaced with an ending
    the sky could fall
it's always, it's always the same
(The sky was the limit on their relationship and now it could come crashing down ending this relationship. What was so beatiful and had just started is just being replaced with an ugly ending. All the potential for them could be no more, and unfortunately, it's the same as all of his relationships have been. they all end.)

    and it ends
from a scream to a whisper
canyou free me from these words and help me forget
can you free me from this world and help me forget

(the relationship is over. from such loud and overflowing emotions to now next to nothing between them. can you help me forget these words that were said between us? can you free me from this world and all the hurt it brings to me and help me forget the past.)

General CommentThis song is about the difficulties of sustaining relationships over time.

The narrator has had too many bad experiences that force him to believe it is inevitable that everything good comes to an end at some point, but he would like to believe in it. His partner believes this relationship is strong enough, and he himself hopes that his partner is right and able to fully convince him - with head and heart.

Btw: Interesting connection to Jim Ward's song "Broken songs" which similarly deals with the bliss of beginnings and things becoming uninteresting over time.
