bitter taste
in your mouth
it's too late to get it out
everytime
i'm around you
try to leave but
i'll be standing in your way

you want antidote
i got the poison

second try
to say goodbye
kick this habit but
i'll be standing in your way

you want antidote
i got the poison

General Commentwow, most of the hives song don't have too many comments posted up. this song is great, short and sweet like most of the songs by the hives, especially the ones on their album, tyrannosaurus hives.

General CommentWhoa man this song is tight. Killer. I don't think that this song has any signifigant meaning, but it's still the best Hives. Consise, man!

General CommentGreat song. Perhaps it's about smoking? Well, probably not, but the lines 'bitter taste in your mouth' and 'kick this habit' just make it seem like it is.

General CommentTo me it sounds like someone is relishing control over another person... So I guess it could written from the point of view that nicotine is singing. Or a dominating girlfriend.

General CommentSounds to me like someone unable to leave an unhealthy or otherwise unsatisfactory relationship.

General CommentIn a lot of The Hives songs, they talk about being better than someone else, knowing it, and relishing every satisfying moment of it.

    In addition to Antidote, see:
    - Try It Again
    - Tick Tick Boom
    - Two-Timing Touch and Broken Bones
    - Outsmarted
