the times we cry looking at monologues of life
and how they're written the way they're not supposed to be
(the way we wanted it to be)
moonlight shines through windows reflecting
off of faces watching all of these times changing
the tears make mud on the ground.
kick them and think
it could've been different.

this 4 16 you will hardly smile
because you won't know there won't be anything worth smiling about
the loss you have, the love you lost,
and the hope that's in between
you tried to hold on to it
but you know there's no turning back to see
now when the tears make mud on the ground
you'll kick them and think
this could have been different

this 4 16 you will hardly smile
because you know there won't be anything worth smiling about
now when you miss your friends, you will just have to miss them
the loss you have, the love you lost,
and the hope that's in between
you tried to hold on to it
but you know there's no turning back to see
spent so much time tryint go correct thoughts
and not thinking good thoughts
of all the great times we had

General CommentThe person who submited these lyrics missed a whole chunk out. After the last line ("Of all the great times we had") it carries on like this:

You made this life worth living

All the great times that we had

Know that we all love you

    And we just miss you

And just wish that we could see you again

Now when the tears make mud on the ground

You'll look at them and think this may have been different

This 4 6 we may all just smile

Because you know that you were something worth smiling about

The loss you have, the love you lost

And the hope that's in between

You try to hold on to it

And start making you way back to see what you can see

General CommentSilent Drive is great. I'm friends with the drummer, Dave Joyal. I went and saw them play in Charlotte about a month ago. Good stuff.

I think this song is about either leaving people you know, such as graduation, or how you want something to go the way you planned it, and everything went wrong. You can cry about it, mourn, whatever, but the best way to deal with it is to smile every time you think about it and think about the good impact you had on the people you knew.

This song really gets me pumped. I'm one of those crazy BMW drivers you see on the high way passing you at 140 MPH, and this is the song i'm listening to.

General CommentOkay, this is only slightly creepy. I'm sitting here listening to my random music playlist, and this song starts playing. Then it hit me: the VT shooting just happened on 4/16! Just a coincidence, I know, but still...
