Then the other girl
Was sitting on the sidewalk in the rain
She had a suitcase
And a shoelace on her finger
And she sang
la da de la da daaa
I can't remember to
Forget the face of you
Cause your words ring
And the sign says
All I am is ugly in the pane
Any other girl
Would sit along the sidewalk and complain
With a rude face
Made of white lace
Always wondering who to blame
You always understand
A bit too late
A line too straight
For certainty
For boys like me
You just cant seem to balance out the scales

But I know
I'm always improving
But still it's satisfactory
And I know you're almost perfect
But still
Do you make faces in the mirror smiling some
And watching your hair grow
I'm always waiting
Anticipating
Life on the ice

And I know I'm always improving but still
It's satisfactory
And I know you're almost perfect
But still if you were alive and I was a prayer
Well then maybe I'd have faith
But you're not alive
And I said my prayers so sleep
I don't want my name in lights
I just want to sleep tonight
I never asked for this name
I never asked for this life
I scream
I've screamed
Cause you let me
And I lie cause
I'm bored of the truth
I'd like to tell you about love
About life
And I scream
I've screamed since you left me
And I've lied
Cause I'm scared of the truth
I'd like to tell you
About love
About life
And I scream

General Commenti think this song is basically about an overly dramatic girl that he had a past relationship with
in the first part, he is saying your amazing but you choose to sit in the rain and call your self ugly, in other words, saying that she is great and knows it, but makes herself look pathetic for attention

after the song gets more up beat, he is kind of mocking her,

Do you make faces in the mirror smiling some
    And watching your hair grow

is him pretty much saying "you so freakin' self absorbed, do you live your life in front of a mirror?"

And I know I'm always improving but still
    It's satisfactory
And I know you're almost perfect

that part like him saying how she sees him, like he was never good enough for her, because she thinks she is perfect

    this is only my opinion
    i could be way off

General CommentI have to say u made me look at it different
Any other girl the average women that hates herself for no reason blaming thongs on other people falling for the bad boys but in one minute her.opinion changes she is.perfect and the guy is the add no longer good enough for her for he made her head.bubble up to the size of the world just my thoughts in the end a heartless woman gets what she wants while the man dwells over what is lost
