"Summertime Blues" as written by Eddie Cochran and Jerry Neal Capehart....
Well I'm gonna raise a fuss
Yes I'm gonna raise a holler
About workin' all summer
Just to try to earn a dollar
Well I went to the boss man
Tried to get a break

Sometimes I wonder
How I'm gonna do
'Cause there ain't no cure
For the summertime blues

Well my mom and papa told me
Son you've gotta earn some money
If you wanna use the car
To go ridin' next Sunday
Well I didn't go to work
Told the boss I was sick

Sometimes I wonder
How I'm gonnna do
'Cause there ain't no cure
For the summertime blues

I'm gonna take two weeks
I'm gonna have a fun vacation
Gonna take my problem
To the United Nations
Well I called my congressman
And he said quote

Sometimes I wonder
How I'm gonnna do
'Cause there ain't no cure
For the summertime blues

General CommentBlue Cheer originally did this song. Rush also credits Blue Cheer as being one of the very first hard rock "metal" bands and was a big influencce on them in the late 60s

General CommentThis is such a great cover. I love this song way more than any other version. You can just crank this song so loud and yet it's still never loud enough.
